Find the evidence you need

Each entry shows the molecule's pharmacology, regulatory class, evidence grade and a concise English evidence boundary.

Class describes development/regulatory context; grade describes evidence strength, not which molecule is better.

Testagen (KEDG): Reproductive Endocrinology: conceptual scientific illustrationEVIDENCE VISUAL · Reproductive Endocrinology
Reproductive EndocrinologySynthetic KEDG tetrapeptide; preclinical DNA/histone and endocrine research, not testosterone

Testagen (KEDG)

Testagen is the synthetic KEDG tetrapeptide (Lys-Glu-Asp-Gly), not the Testagen TDS testosterone product studied in NCT02733133. Verified evidence is preclinical: HeLa-cell and DNA/histone experiments and thyroid models in hypophysectomized birds. No human therapeutic trial of exact KEDG was verified in this review; testosterone, fertility, thyroid-treatment and anti-aging benefits and human safety remain unestablished. Exact product authorisation requires verification, and absence from named anti-doping examples is not sport clearance.

Oxytocin: Reproductive Endocrinology: conceptual scientific illustrationEVIDENCE VISUAL · Reproductive Endocrinology
Reproductive EndocrinologyEndogenous nonapeptide hormone and oxytocin-receptor agonist uterotonic

Oxytocin

An endogenous nonapeptide hormone with approved, product-specific obstetric medicines. Pitocin or OXYTOCIN KABI authorisation does not establish approval of intranasal, compounded or online oxytocin for bonding, autism, sexual wellness or general wellbeing.

Kisspeptin-10: Reproductive Endocrinology: conceptual scientific illustrationEVIDENCE VISUAL · Reproductive Endocrinology
Reproductive EndocrinologySynthetic or endogenous C-terminal kisspeptin decapeptide and KISS1R/GPR54 agonist

Kisspeptin-10

A KISS1-derived C-terminal decapeptide that can stimulate GnRH-linked reproductive-hormone responses. Small endocrine studies do not establish treatment efficacy for hypogonadism, fertility, libido or weight loss, and it is not a component of an FDA-approved drug.

Class CExperimentalGrade CEarly human

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG): Reproductive Endocrinology: conceptual scientific illustrationEVIDENCE VISUAL · Reproductive Endocrinology
Reproductive EndocrinologyPlacental glycoprotein hormone and LH/hCG-receptor agonist gonadotropin

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG)

A placental glycoprotein hormone with product-specific prescription uses in reproductive medicine and selected endocrine contexts. Urine-derived Pregnyl, recombinant Ovidrel, endogenous hCG and online weight-loss products are not interchangeable; hCG is not FDA-approved for weight loss.

Menotropins (hMG): Reproductive Endocrinology: conceptual scientific illustrationEVIDENCE VISUAL · Reproductive Endocrinology
Reproductive EndocrinologyUrine-derived gonadotropin preparation with FSH and LH activity

Menotropins (hMG)

A urine-derived gonadotropin preparation with FSH and LH activity, not a single peptide. MENOPUR approvals are product-, presentation-, population- and jurisdiction-specific, and require specialist monitoring because of OHSS and multiple-gestation risks.

Follitropin alfa: Reproductive Endocrinology: conceptual scientific illustrationEVIDENCE VISUAL · Reproductive Endocrinology
Reproductive EndocrinologyRecombinant human follicle-stimulating hormone glycoprotein

Follitropin alfa

A recombinant human FSH glycoprotein with product-specific infertility indications in women and men. GONAL-f approvals do not make it interchangeable with menotropins, hCG, other follitropins or unverified products, and specialist monitoring remains essential.

Class AApproved in bounded contextsGrade ARegulatory + clinical

Follitropin beta: Reproductive Endocrinology: conceptual scientific illustrationEVIDENCE VISUAL · Reproductive Endocrinology
Reproductive EndocrinologyRecombinant human follicle-stimulating hormone glycoprotein

Follitropin beta

A recombinant human FSH glycoprotein produced in CHO cells, with product-specific female infertility and selected male spermatogenesis indications. PUREGON and FOLLISTIM AQ authorisations do not establish interchangeability with follitropin alfa, menotropins, hCG or unverified products.

Class AApproved in bounded contextsGrade ARegulatory + clinical

Urofollitropin: Reproductive Endocrinology: conceptual scientific illustrationEVIDENCE VISUAL · Reproductive Endocrinology
Reproductive EndocrinologyPurified human follicle-stimulating hormone extracted from postmenopausal urine

Urofollitropin

A purified human FSH preparation extracted from postmenopausal urine, not recombinant FSH or menotropins. Thai FOSOH records and the discontinued, voluntarily revoked US BRAVELLE licence are product- and jurisdiction-specific; controlled IVF comparisons do not establish blanket interchangeability.

Enclomiphene / Enclomifene: Reproductive Endocrinology: conceptual scientific illustrationEVIDENCE VISUAL · Reproductive Endocrinology
Reproductive EndocrinologySelective estrogen receptor modulator / clomiphene isomer

Enclomiphene / Enclomifene

Enclomiphene is a clomiphene isomer, not testosterone or the full clomiphene mixture. Trials reported hormone and sperm-count effects, but these do not establish symptom or live-birth benefit. EMA refused EnCyzix in 2018, citing insufficient symptom evidence and venous-thromboembolism concerns.
